Axsal Johnson 100 Amazing Facts About The Negro ÂŁ 10.00

With Complete Proof: The 2017 Edition - Celebrating Black Excellence A Tribute To J. A. Rogers Think back to your time in the classroom, what can you remember being taught about your African origins? Besides the period of slavery, the struggles of the civil rights sixties and range of inventions innovations and breakthroughs of the 19th and 20th century, not much right. It’s no secret, nor has it been for some two thousand years Black African people have been around since what many would call the dawn of time. It was the children of Africa that began civilising the world introducing them to the liberal arts like reading, writing, mathematics, medicine, advanced agriculture and stone masonry to name a few. Africa through the middle ages just like the ancient times was the academic headquarters of the world, the home of spirituality, the continent was where the blueprint for modern day society was created. Sadly, the assignation of self-worth was completed through the barbaric Maafa (African holocaust/ transatlantic slave trade) John Henrik Clarke said: “Slavery ended and left its false images of Black people intact.” Systemic institutionalised racism ensures the perpetuation of these false images mainly through the entertainment & media platforms but most damagingly through the education & academic systems. Jamaican born Journalist & Historian, Joel Augustus Rogers, whose numerous works and contributions to the international black community are mostly unknown today understood the importance of highlighting the triumphs of black African excellence. In 1934 he released his version of this title as a crash course to Black African history, to uplift and empower people with less access to information than we do today who faced lynchings and social beratement for succeeding. 2017’s edition was produced to remind the world of J. A. Rogers. On top of that, to combat to the global white supremacist power structure by helping to cement in the minds of all Black African people worldwide that they’re the original standard of excellence. Published 12 Dec 2017. 124 pages.

J.A. Rogers 100 Amazing Facts About the Negro ÂŁ 6.99

With Complete Proof - A Short Cut to The World History of The Negro J.A. Rogers devoted over fifty years of his life to his research. He had not only looked at world history but also at the history of people of African origin, and has show how their history is an inseparable part of the history of mankind. First published in 1934 and revised in 1962, this book gathers journalist and historian Joel Augustus Rogers' columns from the syndicated newspaper feature titled Your History. Patterned after the look of Ripley's popular Believe It or Not the multiple vignettes in each episode recount short items from Rogers's research. The feature began in the Pittsburgh Courier in November 1934 and ran through the 1960s. Review - "I really liked this. Or rather, I liked J.A. Rogers' insistent energy to be believed in this tiny book. Rogers lists all sorts of African accomplishments and deeds and categorizes them in lists such as Ancient Civilizations, Sex, Religion, Rulers, Slavery, etc. A lot of this information not included in your typical mainstream lesson. And apparently Rogers traveled all over Europe to gather this info from different museums and libraries, so I'll definitely want to check out his other works". Published May 1st 1995. 72 pages.

This book is a new original translation of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Deadbased on surviving papyri from Ancient Egypt " I Know myself, I know myself, I am One With God!-From the Pert Em Heru "The Ru Pert em Heru" or "Ancient Egyptian Book of The Dead," or "Book of Coming Forth By Day" as it is more popularly known, has fascinated the world since the successful translation of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic scripture over 150 years ago. The astonishing writings in it reveal that the Ancient Egyptians believed in life after death and in an ultimate destiny to discover the Divine. The elegance and aesthetic beauty of the hieroglyphic text itself has inspired many see it as an art form in and of itself. But is there more to it than that? Did the Ancient Egyptian wisdom contain more than just aphorisms and hopes of eternal life beyond death? In this volume Dr. Muata Ashby, the author of over 25 books on Ancient Egyptian Yoga Philosophy has produced a new translation of the original texts which uncovers a mystical teaching underlying the sayings and rituals instituted by the Ancient Egyptian Sages and Saints. "Once the philosophy of Ancient Egypt is understood as a mystical tradition instead of as a religion or primitive mythology, it reveals its secrets which if practiced today will lead anyone to discover the glory of spiritual self-discovery. The Pert em Heru is in every way comparable to the Indian Upanishads or the Tibetan Book of the Dead."

What are the Mysteries? For thousands of years the spiritual tradition of Ancient Egypt, Shetaut Neter, "The Egyptian Mysteries," "The Secret Teachings," have fascinated, tantalized and amazed the world. At one time exalted and recognized as the highest culture of the world, by Africans, Europeans, Asiatics, Hindus, Buddhists and other cultures of the ancient world, in time it was shunned by the emerging orthodox world religions. Its temples desecrated, its philosophy maligned, its tradition spurned, its philosophy dormant in the mystical Medu Neter, the mysterious hieroglyphic texts which hold the secret symbolic meaning that has scarcely been discerned up to now. What are the secrets of Nehast {spiritual awakening and emancipation, resurrection}. More than just a literal translation, this volume is for awakening to the secret code Shetitu of the teaching which was not deciphered by Egyptologists, nor could be understood by ordinary spiritualists. This book is a reinstatement of the original science made available for our times, to the reincarnated followers of Ancient Egyptian culture and the prospect of spiritual freedom to break the bonds of Khemn, "ignorance," and slavery to evil forces: SĂĄaa .

Examining navigation and shipbuilding; cultural analogies between Native Americans and Africans; the transportation of plants, animals, and textiles between the continents; and the written and griot accounts of the explorers themselves, Ivan Van Sertima builds a mountain of evidence to support his claim of an African presence in the New World centuries before Columbus. Van Sertima remakes some of the most powerful scenes of human history with his gift of storytelling: the launching of the great ships of Mali in 1310, the sea expedition of the Mandingo king in 1311 and many others. Carter G. Woodson Miseducation Of The Negro - EBOOK ÂŁ 1.99

The Mis-Education of the Negro is one of the most important books on education ever written. The oppressor has always indoctrinated the weak with his interpretation of the crimes of the strong. Considered Woodson's seminal work, this text explores his thesis that African Americans were being culturally indoctrinated, rather than taught, in American schools. He asserts that this conditioning caused African-Americans to become dependent and to seek out inferior places in the greater society of which they were a part. Woodson skillfully exposes the weaknesses of Euro-centric based curriculums that failed to include African American history and culture. Published November 1st 2006.

In this strong and confident book, George G. M. James states that the “Greek philosophy” in which nearly all of Western culture has its roots actually originated in ancient Egypt. Carefully drawing on historical research and a new age rethinking of the typical narrative of Greek history, James asserts that our celebration of the ancient Greeks as the creators of Western civilisation and philosophy is misattributed. He argues our praise rightfully belongs to the people of Africa. Furthermore, this massive knowledgable and cultural theft has helped lend credence to the damaging notion that the entire continent of Africa has contributed nothing to world civilisation.  James explorers noted connections between glorified Greek philosophers and the influence of Egyptian thought, suggesting other possible links between northern Africa and Greece as well.Stolen Legacy is an important book for understanding the history of philosophy, culture and race in the modern world.

Joy A Degruy Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America's Legacy... ÂŁ 14.99

The 16th century saw the beginning of African enslavement in the Americas until the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment and emancipation in 1865, Africans were hunted like animals, captured, sold, tortured, and raped. They experienced the worst kind of physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual abuse. Given such history, isn't it likely that many of the enslaved were severely traumatized? And did the trauma and the effects of such terrible abuse end with the abolition of slavery? Emancipation was followed by one hundred more years of institutionalised subjugation through the enactment of Black Codes and Jim Crow laws, peonage, convict leasing, domestic terrorism and lynching. Today the violations continue, and when combined with the crimes of the past, they result in yet immeasurable damage. What do repeated traumas that several generations of people endured produce? What impact have these ordeals had on African Americans today? Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome helps to lay the necessary foundation to ensure the well-being and sustained health of future generations and provides a rare glimpse into the evolution of society's beliefs, feelings, attitudes and behaviour concerning race in America. Review: "Are you ready to understand the Psychological trauma created by 400 years of slavery? If you answered yes then Dr Leary’s Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome – America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing is a must read. This book is an analytical journey of the horrifying effects of chattel slavery, lynching, Jim Crow laws, racism and all the other oppressive methods used against African-Americans for decades upon their psyche. Dr. Leary methodically lay’s out of how the lifestyles of African Americans today was influenced by their ancestors. She takes the reader through the process of diagnosing the various illnesses plaguing the African-American community by clearly defining and discussing the major categories of afflictions and providing one real life examples after another provoking feelings of recognition." 252 pages

John G. Jackson was an educator, lecturer, author, and man of principle. Nothing is new or original in Christianity. That is the important thesis demonstrated in Christianity Before Christ. The least important features, as well as the most important components, were all well developed in cultures that flourished before the time that Christ is alleged to have walked the parched paths of Roman Palestine. Review - "The information presented in this book is absolutely crucial if Atheists and other free thinkers are to understand the nature of the beast that threatens not only their liberties and rights as citizens in a secular republic, but also threatens to return world civilization itself back to the prescientific levels of the ancient cultures from which Christianity derived all its odd details. Every Atheist needs to know what is in this book"!

Moses, the Lawgiver, was educated in Egypt and “was learned in all the wisdoms of the Egyptians.” Moses possessed excellent knowledge of Egyptian Religion. Wallis Budge says “the depth of his knowledge of Egyptian magico-religious ritual is proved by the closeness with which he followed it in constructing the Tabernacle, and in the regulations which he drew up concerning offerings, the equipment of the Tabernacle and the official dress of the priests.”

Assata Shakur Assata An Autobiography - EBOOK ÂŁ 1.99

On May 2, 1973, Black Panther Assata Shakur (aka JoAnne Chesimard) lay in a hospital, close to death, handcuffed to her bed, while local, state, and federal police attempted to question her about the shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike that had claimed the life of a white state trooper. Long a target of J. Edgar Hoover's campaign to defame, infiltrate, and criminalize Black nationalist organizations and their leaders, Shakur was incarcerated for four years prior to her conviction on flimsy evidence in 1977 as an accomplice to murder. This intensely personal and political autobiography belies the fearsome image of JoAnne Chesimard long projected by the media and the state. With wit and candor, Assata Shakur recounts the experiences that led her to a life of activism and portrays the strengths, weaknesses, and eventual demise of Black and White revolutionary groups at the hand of government officials. The result is a signal contribution to the literature about growing up Black in America that has already taken its place alongside The Autobiography of Malcolm X and the works of Maya Angelou. Two years after her conviction, Assata Shakur escaped from prison. She was given political asylum by Cuba, where she now resides.

Chinweizu Book UK Decolonising The African Mind 978-9782651020
Chinweizu Decolonising The African Mind from ÂŁ 44.99

Sheds light on the continual exploitation of Africa by the West In this sequel to The West And The Rest Of Us, Chinweizu questions the colonial mentality, in its various manifestations, and how it has continually obstructed African economic development and cultural renaissance since political decolonization was achieved. And while it is generally known about the deleterious effects of European colonialism on African development, in Decolonising the African Mind, Chinweizu uncompromisingly reveals the same deleterious effects Arab colonialism has had on African development, in contrast to the generally held notion that domination of Africans by Arabs was some type of benign conquest in comparison to the white man. Chinweizu accurately stuns the reader that Europeans and Arabs have historical had their own political designs on the African continent, which was not for the benefit of African people. What becomes clear while reading this book, is that no matter what propaganda tries to suggest, Africa is not an overseas cash cow or provenience for Europeans or Arabs. Africans around the world must maintain the unapologetically and uncompromisingly claim their African identity, as opposed to being lost in some “multicultural” melting pot, with identities like “person of colour”. Which is ironic, as majority of the world has colour, the only people without colour is Europeans, by understanding the invasion of Africa by Arabs, Africans can understand that liberation will not come by negating one’s African identity into the fraternity of “people of colour”. Then central objective in decolonising the African mind is to overthrow the authority which alien and detrimental traditions exercise over the African. This demands the dismantling of white supremacist beliefs, and the structures which uphold them, in every area of African life. One should certainly use items from other traditions provided they are consistent with African cultural independence and serve African objectives; but one should neither ape nor revere them, let alone sacrifice African interest to them. Review - "Sheds light on the continual exploitation of Africa by the West wherein the so-called development of Africa is actually a debt trap from which developed nations benefit.  Much food for thought here. The author moves beyond the "blame game" and explores solutions. I was also struck by the honesty and fairness when it came to measuring the scale and impact of outside influences on African society, culture, art and literature". Published 1st January 1987. 294 pages.

Chancellor Williams The Destruction Of Black Civilization - EBOOK ÂŁ 3.99

Great Issues of a Race from 4500 B.C. to 2000 The Destruction of Black Civilization took Chancellor Williams 16 years of research and field study to compile. The book, which was to serve as a reinterpretation of the history of the African race, was intended to be "a general rebellion against the subtle message from even the most liberal white authors and their Negro disciples: "You belong to a race of nobodies. You have no worthwhile history to point to with pride." The book was written at a time when many black students, educators, and scholars were starting to piece together the connection between the way their history was taught and the way they were perceived by others and by themselves. They began to question assumptions made about their history and took it upon themselves to create a new body of historical research. The book is premised on the question: If the Blacks were among the very first builders of civilization and their land the birthplace of civilization, what has happened to them that has left them, since then, at the bottom of world society? Precisely, what happened? The Caucasian answer is simple and well known: The Blacks have always been at the bottom." Williams, instead, contends that many elements - nature, imperialism, and stolen legacies - have aided in the destruction of the black civilization. The Destruction of Black Civilization is revelatory and revolutionary because it offers a new approach to the research, teaching, and study of African history by shifting the main focus from the history of Arabs and Europeans in Africa to the Africans themselves. The book, thus, offers "a history of blacks that is a history of blacks". "Because, only from history can we learn what our strengths were and, especially, in what particular aspect we are weak and vulnerable. Our history can then become at once the foundation and guiding light for united efforts in serious planning what we should be about now."

Whether the number was 6 or 60 million, even if it was wrong. But it was a problem started in Europe by Europeans that should have been resolved in Europe and Europeans. There is no comparisons between this tragedy and our tragedy which was the greatest crime in the history of the world. why haven’t we memorialized our dead? It was almost like the crime of not burying them. Dr. John Henrik Clarke In Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust, provides an overall analysis of a period of history that has been systematically falsified and hidden from the serious scrutiny of African-centred scholars and researchers and other committed individuals. He points to concepts that are keys to unveiling that truth about African history and destroying the “Big Lies” about white supremacy. Dr. Clarke challenges the traditional views of African Civilizations and its strength and weaknesses before the enslavement and colonialism periods. He challenges the Eurocentric view of Columbus as a “discovered” and states that he set in motion the genocidal process and renewed western racism. Professor Clarke points out that Columbus set in motion, political forces that established a global system of exploitation. This system has its roots in the Columbus Era and produced European world domination.” Praise for Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust “Dr. Clarke has examined this colossal dehumanizing of a people with minute detail, step by step and his chronicles reveal that the African Holocaust was “the greatest single crime in the world” committed against a people. Nothing ese can match this genocide and destruction.” –Dr. Edward Scobe
