The Art of Leadership Vol. 1 is a book that total pages and are the only two books in the world that examine African and African American leadership and organizing philosophies, traditions, systems and strategies.
These two volumes include defining what a leader is in the context of African and African American history and philosophy. The state of African American communities is defined, and how to organize a group is explained. Group dynamics including the role of cliques in organizations is explored to show how to manage cliques in a positive way.
These books analyze how to organize an independent Black School, and how to set up a business or other economic programs. An examination is made of the CounterIntelligence Program (COINTELPRO), and the newest programs of disruption called Low Intensity Operations.
A very important chapter explores how to free the mind, a subject that most organizers ignore to their detriment. How to establish relationships with Black churches is explored, and strategies for building alliances and coalitions are also examined.
